Boss Bottled Parfum – One-minute Review

BOSS-BOTTLED-PARFUM-ONE-MINUTE-REVIEW-HEADER
Boss Bottled Parfum was co-created by master perfumer Annick Menardo and perfumer Suzy Le Helley
Launched in 2022, this rich woody-amber and leather fragrance differs significantly from the original by utilizing a very different olfactive profile:
  • Top Notes: Olibanum and Mandarin Orange
  • Middle Notes: Orris (concrete) and Fig Tree Root
  • Base Notes: Cedar and vegetal leather accord

If you’ve ever worn the original Boss Bottled, you already know the blueprint. Apple, cinnamon, sandalwood – clean, safe, office-friendly. But the Parfum? That’s a different conversation.

I picked this up expecting more of the same, just a bit richer. What I got was something that actually surprised me.

The opening is warmer and drier than the original – less fruit, more spice. That familiar apple note is still there but it’s been dialled back, letting the cardamom and cinnamon push through properly this time. There’s a smokiness in the base that the original never had, sitting on top of a deeper, almost resinous sandalwood.

On skin, it feels genuinely premium. Not ‘designer trying to be niche’ premium – just well-built and confident.

Longevity is where it earns its money. I got around 8 hours comfortably, with that woody, smoky base clinging on well into the evening.

Projection is moderate – it’s not a room-filler, but the person next to you will notice it.

Who’s it for? Anyone who loved the original but wanted something with more backbone. It works across smart-casual to formal, autumn through winter especially.

The verdict: Boss Bottled Parfum is one of those quiet upgrades that doesn’t shout about itself. It just performs. At designer prices, it punches well above its bracket.
